Stars Progression Pathway

We help the students learn by progressing them to the next level star level. There are 3 levels in each group.s students progress through all the star colours. This helps build the students confidence and motivates them to REACH FOR THE STARS. It is also a great way to show the parent what their child is learning.

Section One
Breath & Warm-Up

Breathe & Warm Up sets the tone for the class.
We begin with a simple breathing exercise to harness energy and bring everyone to the same level of focus and readiness.

We then move into interactive movement to raise the heart rate, increase circulation, and send blood to the muscles and extremities — leaving the body warm, focused, and ready for stretching and technique.

Section Two
Stretch & Strengthen

Stretch & Strengthen is a purposeful preparation for what follows in class.
Flexibility and strength are given equal importance as we prepare the specific muscles and movement patterns needed for the technique focus of the day.

By stretching with intention and strengthening for control and stability, students build the foundations required for confident technical execution and strong performance progression.

Section Three
Build Technique

Technique is the foundation of all dance.
In this section, we focus on fundamental dance steps and movement patterns while also zooming in on core dance skills. These skills are carefully broken into progressive levels, allowing each student to develop clarity, control, and confidence at their own stage of learning.

Through structured progression and clear breakdowns, dancers build strong technical habits that support safe execution, performance quality, and long-term development across all styles.

Section Four
Express Create Dance

Express, Create & Dance is the creative heart of our class.Students and teachers work together to explore ideas, emotions, and musical influences, using learned movements to create choreography. Dancers develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills while preparing routines for themselves or upcoming events.

Section Five
Release and reset

In Release & Reset, we allow the body to unwind and let go of built-up tension. Through stretching and steady breathing, we help the muscles recover and bring the body and mind back to a calm, focused place.

This is a unique system that allows students to progress at different levels with the same class. It challenges those who have perfected a movement while allowing those who might need extra time to feel the same sense of achievement. We layer each step & movement and also each task within the class structure to make each class achievable challenging and exciting. There are three available levels in every class and each has a different colour star.
